Miscellany
- A few percent of people wear smog masks.
- On dusty days some women warp their heads completely around with a presumbaly see-through scarf, while cycling.
- Shops, as foreign shops do, sell strange collections of stuff (who'd think that tobacco and sweets went with newspapers?)
- Kite flying is very common
- So are a lot of activites which would seem demented in the Wset - eg hitting yourself in the chest repeatedly
- Please, sorry, excuse me; are all rare expressions here (in any language)
- There is a very wide range of skin colours
- Some people actually wear those red Chinese jackets with toggles on the front
- Quite a lot of people, older men especially, wear Chairman Mao type hats.
- Cylces don't have lights, at all, ever. And cars only turn theirs on when it's actually dark.
