Polo
This morning I cycled to Marco Polo Bridge much againbst my hosts advice. They all felt it was madness to cycle that far (about 15km each way, if that).
It was tricky - the map, in Chinese only, didn't appear to match reality much. At one stage I ended up on a motorway for about half-a-mile (scary).
Eventually found the place - a lovely old bridge with hundreds of lions carved, one one each pillar and all different.
Sat on a bronze camel (apparaently they had camels) and had my photo taken.
Avoided the "We hate the Japanse garden" and the "We really hate the Japanese museum" next door and headed back to town.
